Bumpdate | Week 33

pineappleHow far along: 33 weeks

Due Date: July 11, 2019

Baby is the size of: a pineapple (17.2 inches and 4.2 pounds)

Gender: Girl

Name: Lillian Mae

Movement: I’m at a loss on how our sweet pineapple is positioned. It feels like she is in a transverse position most of the time. I’m not feeling many kicks, but I do feel larger rolls. She is still very active in the morning, but she tends to settle down throughout the day.

Nursery: Nothing new to report in her room yet. We’re about to start washing more clothes and putting them away.

Symptoms: Besides shortness of breath, I feel pretty much normal. I haven’t had much indigestion or morning sickness anymore…which is good! After eating a large meal, it can be very uncomfortable depending on her position.

Sleep: I’ve been sleeping really well and not waking up so many times during the night.

Highlight of the Week: Being at the beach for our babymoon!

Missing Anything: Still not missing anything right now.

Cravings/Aversions: I still haven’t had true cravings for anything specific.

Parents to Be: We’re more than ready to meet our little girl. This week in Daytona has been so much fun. We had several conversations about how vacations will look different from now on, but we’re completely ok with that change. I cannot wait until we can take Lilly Mae to the beach!

Looking Forward To: Our last upcoming baby showers.

Bumpdate | Week 32

Bok ChoyHow far along: 32 weeks

Due Date: July 11, 2019

Baby is the size of: Bok Choy (16.7 inches and 3.8 pounds)

Gender: Sweet Baby Girl

Name: Lillian Mae

Movement: Lilly Mae appears to be head up! I feel little baby kicks and tap dancing on my bladder. I still feel a few jabs here and there and some full body rolls. She seems to be more relaxed lately, but it’s probably because her space is getting tighter.

Nursery: We made more progress! Her crib has a crib skirt now and there are clothes to the ceiling! She’s one loved little girl!!

Symptoms: Not much going on besides joint pain, an episode of nausea with vomiting, minor finger swelling, sweating to death, and CRAZY dreams. I’m not sure where these pregnancy dreams come from, but they are very interesting to say the least. I dreamed that Lilly Mae was here and I fed her without a diaper on. {I’m sure you know the effect from that without me even saying! HAHA!} I also dreamed that she was in her crib, but it was a toddler bed. She was asleep with a dog, that’s no longer with us, and covered up with a fleece blanket. {All the things you’re not supposed to do in one dream! Thankfully, I know better than these crazy dreams.}

Sleep: I love sleeping, but it’s increasingly difficult to sleep on my sides. My shoulders and hips feel like they are out of place…even with my giant body pillow and pillows between my legs. I’m sure Clint’s looking forward to not having so many pillows on our bed.

Highlight of the Week: There were several this week! Clint finally got to feel a few baby movements. We had two baby showers and were completely blown away by the love and support from my co-workers and family! Finally, Lilly Mae was gifted a ring that was my grandmother’s. This just happens to be her great-grandmother that she’s named after. I cried like a baby! I went to the doctor today, and he confirmed that she’s growing perfectly! Her heart rate was 150!

Missing Anything: Not a thing! Well….maybe 70 degree weather!

Cravings/Aversions: Not much here either!

Parents to Be: We’re completely over-the-moon excited about Lilly Mae’s upcoming arrival. It’s really starting to set in that our family is about to be complete! We couldn’t be happier!

Looking Forward To: Some much needed relaxation!

Bumpdate | Week 31

AsparagusHow far along: 31 weeks

Due Date: July 11, 2019

Baby is the size of: asparagus (16.1 inches and 3.3 pounds)

Gender: Girl

Name: Lillian Mae

Movement: I can tell that Lilly Mae is getting much bigger. Her movements are getting stronger and stronger. She’s been rolling/turning and it feels like she’s stretching her whole body out. This weekend, she stayed snuggled up closer to my stomach which wasn’t very comfortable for me.

Nursery: Lilly Mae’s room is still in progress. We’re still waiting for our upcoming baby showers to finish everything.

Symptoms: Somehow I failed to mention that last week I started suffering from sore joints. That continues to be my biggest complaint this week too. Everything hurts! It feels like I was ran over by a Mack truck. Shortness of breath continues and frequent bathroom breaks.

Sleep: I’ve been sleeping like a baby with very few bathroom interruptions.

Highlight of the Week: Lilly Mae went to her first wedding! Congrats, Emily and Chad! And, we had a great Mother’s Day. Next year, I will be holding my sweet girl in my arms instead of my belly!

Missing Anything: I really miss being able to take a deep breath! I know it’s probably going to get worse as each week progresses.

Cravings/Aversions: Still no major cravings or aversions. We did buy some cookie cake ice cream, and it’s delicious!!!

Parents to Be: We’re so excited to meet our daughter. It’s so hard to believe that we’re only a few weeks away…9 weeks or less!

Looking Forward To: Our two baby showers this week!

Bumpdate | Week 30

30 Weeks.pngHow far along: 30 weeks

Due Date: July 11, 2019

Baby is the size of: a butternut squash (15.7 inches and 2.9 pounds)

Gender: Girl

Name: Lillian Mae

Movement: Movements are starting to feel more like rolls and turns. At our ultrasound, we found out that Lilly Mae is head down. Most of the movements are happening up high now. I’m sure it won’t be long before she’s kicking my ribs.

Nursery: Her room is finished for now. Just waiting to get some things from our upcoming baby showers.

Symptoms: Minor swelling in my hands when I get really hot. I haven’t had true swelling  in my feet yet. However, my feet get really red and very tight! Shortness of breath during conversations. Morning sickness is gone for the most part and no indigestion this week! {Woohoo!}

Sleep: Sleeping is more comfortable this week. I’m using the bathroom less during the night, but I think it’s because I’m sleeping so hard.

Highlight of the Week: Having our 3D ultrasound done and getting to see our sweet girl’s face! She’s PRECIOUS!!!

Missing Anything: Nothing really!

Cravings/Aversions: Still no major cravings or aversions. I’ve been wanting a BLT sandwich. We made them last night for dinner and it hit the spot!

Parents to Be: We are so in love with this sweet girl already and seeing her face just makes us love her even more.

Looking Forward To: Our upcoming baby showers!
