Lillian Mae | Eleven Months

Nicknames: Turkey

Weight: 19 pounds 12 ounces

Height: 28.5 inches

Looks: You’re starting to look more like a toddler than a baby. Your hair continues to grow longer and thicker. {We can finally CLIP a bow in your hair!} Your eyes are still a green/hazel color.

Personality: You’re such a doll! You enjoy people watching and observing everything around you. You will flash a smile at a stranger and wave when nobody is looking. You’re still a little lady of few words. If you start talking, we better stop to listen because it’s important.

Eating: You’re pretty much over puréed foods and eating mostly table foods now. You ate an entire roll at Texas Roadhouse!

Sleeping: We started nap training last week, and you’re doing a great job! You usually take one long nap in the afternoon. You’re still sleeping through the night too!

Wearing: Mostly 12 month clothes. We just switched to size 4 diapers. Your teeny, tiny foot is a size 2!

Favorite Things: Being outside, playing with your ball, bubbles, and your water table.

Least Favorite Things: Cutting teeth.

This month:
-We went back to the urologist and the doctor said your kidneys are looking good!
-You started saying, “Woof!” when you see a dog.
-We took a road trip to Dillard, GA.
-We went to the Mall of Georgia and you rode on an escalator.
-You started taking naps on your own.
-We celebrated Daddy’s 30th birthday.

Lillian Mae | Ten Months

Nicknames: Turkey and Baby

Weight: 19 pounds 5 ounces

Height: 28.5 inches

Looks: Your hair is continuing to grow thicker and longer. Your eyes are still hazel, and you have the biggest smile!

Personality: You love to act shy, but you aren’t very shy at all! You will instantly smile for the camera and love looking in the mirror. You’re so observant of your surroundings. You also enjoy singing along to songs in the car. You have started to test your boundaries and will flash a smile to stay out of trouble.

Eating: Mostly purées, but you have experimented more with table foods. You love chicken and Mexican rice!

Sleeping: You love your sleep! There have been a few mornings when you have slept until 8:00 or after. You still nap twice a day.

Wearing: Mostly 9 month clothes and a few 12 month clothes. Some brands are smaller than others. Size 3 in diapers.

Favorite Things: Crawling, touching everything, and eating.

Least Favorite Things: Teething and being tired.

This month:
-We hunted for Easter eggs in the yard.
-We celebrated your first Easter.
-You successfully started drinking from an open cup.
-You started saying Mama.
-You started crawling, and it’s the cutest crawl ever!
-You’re walking with assistance.
-We went camping at the hunting club.

Lillian Mae | Nine Months

Nicknames: Turkey and Baby

Weight: 18 pounds 1 ounces

Height: 28 inches

Looks: Your hair is so long and appears to be getting darker. Your eyes change color based on what you wear. They look hazel, and we’re hoping they stay that way.

Personality: You continue to be the sweetest and sassiest little babe in the whole world. You love playing with Mommy and Daddy, but you also play by yourself while Mommy works from home. There are times when you babble nonstop and other times you’re quiet like a mouse.

Eating: Mostly purées, but we have given you a bite or two of what we’re eating. You started eating puffs this month. You LOVE the cheddar puffs that look like Cheetos!

Sleeping: You sleep the best at night. You do not like to nap very much. Some days you will take two longer naps and others you might take three short naps. 

Wearing: All 9 month clothes and size 3 diapers.

Favorite Things: Standing with support, playing with empty bottles, rolling around, exploring around the house, and being outside.

Least Favorite Things: Being strapped in the car seat and cutting teeth.

This month:
-You cut your first top tooth!
-You’re enjoying the quarantine life.
-You rode in your stroller like a big girl.
-You have been trying to crawl, but you usually fall over and roll everywhere instead.
-You started waving!
-You got your first ponytail.

Lillian Mae | Eight Months

Life with you keeps getting more exciting with each passing day. You constantly blow us away with all of the amazing things you are learning. You are such a fun, loving girl who enjoys anything and anybody. We’re so thankful we get to do life with you! We love you big!

Nicknames: Turkey

Weight: 17 pounds 13 ounces

Height: Probably around 27 inches

Looks: You still look like Daddy’s mini-me. Your hair is getting so long and thick. {I cannot wait until we can clip a bow in your hair!} When your hair is wet, you can see some curls coming in.

Personality: You are so observant. You love going new places and checking things out. You also love being outside. You are so sweet and cuddly, but you quickly remind us that you’re an independent girl with a lot of sass! I can’t imagine who you get that from.

Eating: You continue to eat purées two times per day. You like snacking on teething rusks and yogurt melts. You’re really good at using your jaws to chew.

Sleeping: Most days you nap pretty well. Some days you take a short cat nap and other times you sleep for over an hour. At night, you’re sleeping about 10-11 hours straight.

Wearing: You’re wearing a combination of 6 month and 9 month clothes. The 9 month clothes are a little baggy for now. You are wearing size 3 diapers.

Favorite Things: Dropping toys on the ground, being outside, eating, talking, reading books, and bath time 

Least Favorite Things: Taking naps, being tired and hungry (Who can blame a girl though?)

This month:
-We celebrated your first Valentine’s Day! Daddy bought you a dozen of pink roses, a stuffed giraffe, and a book.
-You started sitting in a high chair at restaurants.
-You’re a pro at sitting in shopping carts.
-You have started trying new things off Mommy and Daddy’s plate.
-You had several visits with your grandparents.
-You started playing in the bathtub. Daddy bought you several bathtub friends too.

Lillian Mae | Seven Months

Lillian Mae, you are such a little blessing! Each day with you brings new adventures, and we have enjoyed every minute of it. You are truly the most lovable little girl in the entire world. We would be completely lost without you. We’re forever grateful that the Lord chose us to be your parents! We love you so much!

Weight: Probably around 16.5 pounds

Height: 26.5 inches

Looks: Your big, bright eyes make everyone stop and stare! Your hair continues to grow longer and thicker. I’m still waiting to clip a bow in it though!

Personality: You are such a little ham and all smiles…unless you’re fighting a nap! You are willing to visit with anyone who will hold you and will smile at anyone who talks to you. You can be very vocal and other times you are so quiet.

Eating: You eat two meals a day. Your favorite breakfast food is pear cinnamon oatmeal. You have taste tested most of the Stage 2-Sitter Foods, and you seem to be enjoying them. Carrots, sweet potatoes, and squash are still your favorite vegetables.

Sleeping: Even though you despise daytime naps, you still sleep like a champ at night! 

Wearing: You’re still wearing all 6 month clothes for now, but that’s about to change pretty soon because your pants are starting to turn into capris. We just bumped you up to size 3 diapers.

Favorite Things: Grabbing anything that is not yours, playing with cups, dropping things, and eating Daddy’s hats. 

Least Favorite Things: Water in a bottle, falling asleep, and being on your belly.

This month:
-You started sitting up for longer stretches without falling over.
-You experienced your first snow.
-You slept through your first National Championship and Super Bowl.
-You went on countless shopping trips with Mommy and Daddy.
-You cut TWO teeth at the same time.
